Umbria Life

Umbria Life

Italian Residency is based in Orvieto,  Umbria. Known as the “green heart” of Italy, Umbria is one of Italy’s best kept secrets that for years has been eclipsed by the neighbouring Tuscany. You may have heard of Umbria before, but do not know much about this wonderful Italian region. So why Umbria? Aside from its beauty, Umbria is fast becoming a popular destination for holidaymakers and house hunters as sale prices for luxury villas and houses are decidedly less steep compared to Tuscany.

Umbrian cuisine is amongst the very best in Italy and is especially famous for high-quality wines, meat and game as well as local truffles, porcini mushrooms and olive oil.

The cultural wealth of Umbria is also vast and varied and home to some of Italy’s best paintings and historical towns such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spoleto and of course, Orvieto.

An halfway between Rome and Florence

Umbria has great infrastructure and is easily accessible, halfway between Rome and Florence there are several airports in the vicinity including Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, Florence, Pisa, Perugia and Assisi as well as the main motorway A1 that runs through it. The neighboring regions of Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo and Marche are all a short drive or train trip away.
On a final note, just recently Umbria came out as the happiest region in Italy due to its pace and lifestyle. Why not come and see for yourselves?
